Think Design Deliver - release of final report

The Expert Panel on Planning Reform has delivered its final report The Planning System We Want to the Minister for Planning. The Report contains 22 recommended Planning Reforms and can be downloaded from the Think Design Deliver website.

The recommendations are grouped into the following five key reform areas:

  • Roles, responsibilities and participation
  • Plans and plan-making
  • Development pathways and processes
  • Place-making, urban renewal and infrastructure
  • Alignment, delivery and culture

These recommendations are the culmination of nearly two years work which included working with specialist reference groups and intensive community and stakeholder engagement and consultation.

Comments on The Planning System We Want report should be emailed to DPTI:PDPlanningReform@sa.gov.au by 5pm Friday 13 February 2015.

In the new year the government will formalise its response and information about the legislative reform program will be available then.
